How to find the wordpress theme or plug-in name of a competitor website or blog

In my three month journey of blogging, I made a lot of experiments with my themes, plug-ins and widgets. I ended up changing my WordPress theme everyday. It used to get very confusing and tiring installing and customizing a new theme every time. Even after becoming pretty sure and finalizing a theme for my site, I ended up envying the layout and appearance of a competitor site. I'm sure I would have Googled the keywords 'best WordPress themes', 'top WordPress themes for blogs' and many more the maximum number of times. When it comes to plug-in's, WordPress offers 1000s of plug-in's with the same core function, but with a few differences in layout and added functionalities. I've even experimented with a lot of plug-ins for SEO, Mobile optimization, Database optimization and much more. You should definitely check out:
After a month of wasting hours and days of experimentations and virtual research, I got acquainted with 2 services that allow us to find the theme name and even the names of the plug-ins installed on a WordPress site. All you have to do is enter the site domain name and press ENTER. These services take a few seconds to display the theme name and the plug-ins used by the required website. These services are:

Now this is the best website to find the theme name and plugins used on a site using WordPress platform. You can find the theme name, version used, description, theme site, author and author site too. As you can see above, I use the theme called 'Hiero'. In my case it is parent theme because of the little modifications that I've made in my theme CSS and function.php with the help of the theme authors.  The original version of the theme is different.

It shows all the details regarding the parent theme, author information and even the plugins used.
So, if you're new to blogging and if you end up landing on a beautiful site, you can make use of these free services to determine the theme name and the plug-ins used in it. More than 80% of blogs work on the WordPress platform and these services make it easier for us to find the name of the themes that these eye-pleasing blogs use and install them further on our own blogs.
I use the theme called 'HIERO', which is a free theme designed by AThemes. I love the simple magazine layout and interface that it offers. I succeeded in making a few changes in it's CSS with the help of the designers. The support sections of all the active wordpress themes are really great and helpful for WordPress users' like us.
Moreover, we often find some really attractive and cool plug-ins and widgets on blogs. These services make it very easy for us to find the names of these plug-ins and install them on our respective blogs.
I hope this post helps you in finding and installing the themes and plug-ins that you like. Please feel free to share your views through the comments section.

Benefits of Guest posting that are worth the efforts

Guest posting according to me is like you’re a newbie and you get to act with a superstar. If you’re good, you get fame, money and respect, if not, things don’t really change. LOL, that’s what guest posting is. You simply think of a good post idea, draft a post which is good, informative, SEO optimized and share it on the guest blogging website. If the website admin likes your post, he/she would share it and in return you would get more fame, traffic and popularity. The benefits of guest posting involve:
  • Quality Traffic:

Benefits of Guest posting that are worth the efforts
You if succeed in guest posting on a high quality blog, then you ensure yourself a good amount of traffic. On every blog that allows guest posting, the user is required to enter his/her website details, Name and description. The readers of already successful blogs read your guest post and if they like it, they surely give your website a look. The best part of guest posting is targeted traffic. If I’m looking for people who might me interested in doing a course on SEO from my company, then I would find a platform where the user base would consist of online marketers. One of the best blogs of my niche includes ShoutMeLoud.Com and it does offer guest posting, then I would definitely try to draft a guest post on a similar platform so that I get noticed by a user base which follows online marketing, SEO and other related products.
  • Back Linking:Benefits of Guest posting that are worth the efforts

If you guest post on a credible blog with a high PR and user base, then you would earn yourself a High Quality back link which you help you a lot in SEO.Link building is nothing but creating back links to your website. Back links refer to the links that you get from other websites. If I include a website link to some other website, then I’m providing a new back link to them, which plays a pivotal role in SEO. Website like Google and Facebook have millions of back links. In fact, all the top websites that you’d find will have an exorbitant number of back links. Off-page optimization is done to create back links. By doing everything mentioned in this post, you’re actually creating back links. Back link creation is a time consuming process. By posting comments you don’t really get organic back links. The links you mention on these get a no-follow tag added to them. Submitting your website to Search Engines, directory submissions, article/PR submissions help in creating good back links. Back links can be of the following types:
    • One-Way back links: When some other website links to your site.
    • Two-way back links: When two websites exchange back links.
    • Three-way back links: When 2 other websites link to your site.
Out of these 3 types, the third one is highly recommended. Two-way back links are of no use.
From what kind of websites should you try getting back links?
    • Websites with high page ranks or PR’s.
    • Older Websites.
    • Websites of your niche.
    • Credible and trusted websites.
Thus, off page optimization is actually link building. By doing all these things, we’re actually creating back links to our website.
