List of BEST HIGH PR Blogs to comment on for SEO and Back Links Creation

Comment luv blogs high pr list
We discussed about the significance and importance of back link creation in the last post. Blog Commenting not only helps you create back links if the comments are posted on a do follow blog, they also help you get more traffic. When I started blogging I had to solely rely on commenting on other blogs. If you wish to get traffic on your website, YouTube Video, Facebook Page or anything else, you must make blog commenting a habit. By blog commenting I don’t mean SPAMMING. Most of the comments that you find on blogs are spam. A spam comment is of the form: ‘Hey! That’s a really good post.’ or ‘Thanks for posting!’. Such comments who have no meaning for the website are often taken as spam by the website admins and the people posting such comments often end up getting black listed. Please make sure you follow the following guidelines while posting comments on other websites:
  • Post relevant material.
  • Don’t spam. You might get banned from the video or page. Facebook or YouTube might even ban your website links.
  • Start up conversations. Get involved with other users.
  • Earn some credibility first. Build a good reputation among the users.
  • Don’t over do it.
  • Make sure you include your website links in the comments, but at the right time.
Blog commenting is the most easiest and efficient ways to create back links. You need to make sure that you do that in the right way. Post relevant comments and include the links to your websites only when necessary.
When you post a comment on a website, you’re required to enter your website URL, that acts as a back link for your website.

social media, seo, traffic sources, not reliable

Why one can not rely on Social Media or SEO for traffic

One can not really rely on specific traffic sources. If you’re a website owner, then you must definitely experiment with all possible traffic sources.  The major traffic sources for most us includes:
  • Search Engines
  • Social Media
  • Forums
  • Blog Commenting
  • E-Mail Marketing
  • Advertisements
Most of us get traffic to our websites or blogs from the above mentioned sources, but the question that we need to ask ourselves is:
“Are they totally reliable? Do they promise us a FIXED number of visits every day? Are they really static?”
I hope the following blocks of statements would help you answer these questions and make you realize what you really need to do to ensure a good number of visitors every day:

WordPress SEO

WordPress SEO

WordPress SEO

In the last post we discussed about the basics of on-page search engine optimization that every online marketer must know. As mentioned earlier, those points apply for website, no matter what coding language is used. In this post, we'll discuss about the search engine optimization of a WordPress blog.
Optimizing a WordPress blog/site is very simple. WordPress offers a large number of SEO Plugins and mind it, they are really good and they actually show results. One such plug-in that I highly recommend is the 'WordPress SEO by Yoast'. This is one of the most famous on page SEO plug-ins, used by over 70% of Search Engine Optimizers for their respective blogs.
Now, before I begin with the implementation of the plug-in, I would like you to know that no plug-in's as such offer Off-Page optimization. Every SEO plug-in would help you optimizing your WordPress blog on-page. For off-page optimization, a common set of things are required to be done by every person. Off-page optimization would be discussed in the next post. Let's get going with the implementation of the 'WordPress SEO by Yoast' plug-in.

WordPress SEO by yoastInstallation and Activation

Install the plug-in directly from WordPress or download and install it from this link from WordPress.org for free. I hope this step requires no elaboration. The installation procedure will be shown in the video tutorial that has been included at the end of this post, for better understanding.

WordPress SEO by yoast Configuring the Settings:

Now once the plug-in get's installed on your WordPress site open the 'SEO' tab on the left side of your Admin Dashboard. In the Sub options select the following and make the changes as shown below:
  • Titles and Meta:Under this option, you'd find 5 sub-options, namely General, Home, Post Types, Taxonomies and Other. The first 3 are the most important to configure. To make it easier for you to understand it, I've included screenshots from my own Dashboard. While optimizing your WordPress blog, make sure that you 'check/tick'  the options that I've done in my SEO settings. Under the Home sub-option, specify your Home Page Title and Meta Description efficiently. Make sure all the major keywords get covered. If your website is about E-commerce, make sure you include keywords like 'Free Coupons, Discount Vouchers, Best Deals Online'. It is always better to make use of Google Keyword Planner to choose the keywords. Include the keywords that are most searched on Google. Open the pictures in a separate tab to get a better and clearer view.

  • Social:Being social is being alive on the internet. This plug-in also enables you to connect your WordPress blog with your social media profiles like Facebook, Twitter and Google+. These 3 social media platforms are highly used by users and can fetch you a large amount of traffic if you succeed in increasing your reach on these. Make sure your make social media profiles on these platforms and sync them, as shown below. Choose apt usernames and page names. Make sure you post all your updates on these platforms. Work on increasing your reach on these platforms as well.

  • XML Sitemap:A sitemap is a list of pages, categories and posts that are made available to the user’s or crawlers through simple text. A sitemap makes your website more searchable. The Google Crawler views your site map and adds your webpages to it’s database accordingly. You can view my sitemap at: LinkA sitemap can be created for free on: LinkOn making a sitemap one needs to upload it on his/her web hosting. The name of the file should be ‘Sitemap.xml’Check the boxes that I have checked too.
    WordPress SEO by yoast
  • Permalinks:Just do as shown.

WordPress SEO by yoast Optimizing a Page or Post:

Once we get through with optimizing the plug-in settings, we'll move on to optimizing individual pages or posts. This has to done on all the posts, which includes the past posts as well. When it comes to results, this part will get you to the search results of Google. Choose a focus keyword first of all. This keyword should reflect your post/page theme. Like, the post that you're reading is about WordPress SEO, so I chose the Keyword with the same name. When you type-in the keyword, you might see 8-10 suggestions in a drop down list. Choose any one of them, as they would be the most searched keywords on Google. Make sure you specify a good title and meta description.
Tip: In the meta description, include the keyword suggestions that you saw while typing the focus keyword. Copy these keywords in the meta keywords box too.
The best part of the plug-in is that it shows a Snippet Preview of your post. This is how your website would look in the Google search results.

WordPress makes it very easy for us to optimize our blogs on-page. Plug-ins like SEO by Yoast are one of the most used and best plug-ins available to bloggers. But, unfortunately WordPress offers no plug-ins as such for Off-Page optimization. So, every blogger must follow the off-page optimization steps to execute the entire SEO process. Just optimizing your blog on-page wouldn't get you the cake.

On Page SEO (Search Engine Optimization)

On Page SEO

This post is meant for users who wish to optimize their websites or web pages for search engines. I assume that you're acquainted with the search engine basics and SEO basic concepts. The very first step of search engine optimization includes on-page optimization. On page SEO is the most simplest and productive part of SEO. By doing on-page SEO, one optimizes his site for search engines. It is nothing but defining your website attributes completely. Which includes website titles, meta descriptions, taking Google Authorship, submitting website and sub-pages for fetching and much more. On page SEO is something that Google loves and increases your chances of ranking in search results.

On Page SEO

The Google Bot is nothing but a software that is designed to crawl different web pages. The Google bot cannot use your website or rank it on the basis of your website's appearance. The Google Bot prefers crawling the websites that are complete and specify every detail through different Texts. On-Page Optimization consists of the following. In order to optimize your website for search engines, make sure you do the following:
On Page SEO (Search Engine Optimization) Title and Meta Tags:
Specifying a Title for your web page is like giving it a name so that it can be identified by the Google Bot. A web page with no titles has no meaning. Every web page has one title tag. Specifying your web page's title should be the first thing that you should do while optimizing your website. My website's title is : HowToRuleOnline.com | Online Marketing, SEO, Affiliate Marketing, Blogging. A title tag should be less than 70 characters.
If you're using HTML, you can specify your title tag by:
<Title>Your Page Tile</Title>

Specifying a Meta Description for your webs page is like defining it. After defining the page title one must specify a meta description. My Meta description says: Online marketing blog for budding marketers. SEO, Affiliate Marketings, Press Release, top 10 internet marketing websites, facebook marketing, start blogging. A meta tag should be less than 155 characters. A Meta tag can be specified by:
<meta name="description" content="Your website description. It should contain all the major keywords related to your website.">
<meta name="keywords" content="It should contain all the major keywords related to your website.">
<meta name="author" content="Author Name">
If you're using platforms like WordPress or Blogger, you may find plugins for specifying the title and meta tags. I will talk about WordPress SEO in my next post.
On Page SEO (Search Engine Optimization) Internal Hyper-Linking
Internal Linking keeps your users involved and gives them everything they need at one place. Like I specified two links in the first line of my post, I specified two links to my own web pages. By specifying such links, I enabled you to know about things that you should and I even kept you on my website for a longer time. By internal hyper-linking, you tell the Google bot that your web page is the best of it's type and provides the users everything they need at one place. In the end, Google loves informative pages. So, there is nothing better than one place where everything can be found. To know how to add hyper links check Seo Basics Point number 2.
Did you just realize? I added another internal link to keep you involved and to get you all the information that you need.
On Page SEO (Search Engine Optimization) Content Optimization and Content Writing
By content optimization I mean writing a content full of keywords, easily understandable, organized, informative, interesting and optimized for users. The content should be written for the users and not for the search engines. Your content should contain the major keywords related to your post. Writing something good doesn't mean writing in very good English. A good content should be easy to understand, informative and organized. It should not be copied. It should be original. Make your content interesting so that your readers share it and start following your posts. Thus a good content should be:
  • Full of keywords
  • Easy to understand
  • Organized
  • Informative
  • Interesting
  • Written for your reader's satisfaction
  • Complete
On Page SEO (Search Engine Optimization) Image Optimization
It is very important to add apt and relevant images in your posts. Don't just add images to make your webpage look attractive, add images to increase the level of understanding for your readers.  If you're a blogger, work on your content rather than working on image selection. Include a less number of images in your blog post. Otherwise, add a good number of images to your webpage.  The images that you add should make more sense to your users. The Google bots can not view the images that you include in your web pages. So, naming an image is the only thing that we can do. The name given to an image should be related to your web page's content. An image is names by specifying the image alt tag:
<img src=logo.gif" alt="Online Marketing">

Keep in mind the following points when working with images on websites:
  • Don't add very heavy images. Bigger the size of the image, slower would be the loading time of your web page.
  • Add Image Alt tags to your images.
  • Limit the number of images that you add to your blog.
On Page SEO (Search Engine Optimization) URL Creation or Optimization:
Your web page's URL should also content the keywords related to your content.
Tip: Your URL should contain the most searched keywords. You can search for the most searched keywords on the Google Keyword Planner Tool.
Like this post's URL is something like :  http://howtoruleonline.com/on-page-seo-search-engine-optimization/Thus I have specified something related to my content and something that is highly searched on Google.
On Page SEO (Search Engine Optimization) Sitemap Creation:
A sitemap is a list of pages, categories and posts that are made available to the user's or crawlers through simple text. A sitemap makes your website more searchable. The Google Crawler views your site map and adds your webpages to it's database accordingly. You can view my sitemap at: LinkA sitemap can be created for free on: LinkOn making a sitemap one needs to upload it on his/her web hosting. The name of the file should be 'Sitemap.xml'
On Page SEO (Search Engine Optimization) Robots.txt:
A robot.txt file is a text file in which we can specify the pages that we don't want Google to crawl. You might be thinking that why would we want that?
If you don't want Google to rank any of your pages, categories or posts, you need to specify the page name as:
User-agent: * Disallow: /Page-name
The Robots.txt file must be uploaded on a web hosting as well.
On Page SEO (Search Engine Optimization) Google Authorship:
As I have shown above, a blogger can even take Google Authorship. Google links the website to the user's Google+ profile. To apply for Google Authorship click on this link.
On Page SEO (Search Engine Optimization) Website/Web page Submission:
You can submit your website's webpages in the Google Fetch
  • Open Google Web Masters.
  • Submit your website to Google Web Masters. Google would verify your website and show it's detailed analysis after verification. Analysis would include Search Queries, search result impressions, click through rate, linking and much more.
  • Click on Crawl on the left hand side and click on Fetch as Google.
    on page seo
  • Enter your website or web page link and click on Fetch.
    on page seo
  • After it get's fetched, click on Submit To Index.
on page seo | on page seo
On Page SEO (Search Engine Optimization)On Page SEO (Search Engine Optimization) Favicon
A Favicon or favourite icon is a 16 X 16 Pixels icon associated with a website. A Favicon can be made on Favicon.cc for free.
favicon Like my website's Favicon contains if the orange H icon.
  • Log on to Favicon.cc.
  • Upload the image that you wish to make your favicon by clicking on Import Image. Choose File and Upload. Download the Favicon as shown below.

  • Once your favicon get's downloaded, upload it on your web hosting. The file name should be favicon.ico .
    Like my Favicon is: Link

Thus, follow these steps to optimize your website on page. WordPress on page optimization will be elaborated in the next post.
